Foxwoods considers temporary Philadelphia casino

As reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer: “Foxwoods Casino today told state regulators it will ’seriously consider’ building a temporary online casino on the South Philadelphia waterfront instead of a permanent structure.

“In a letter from internet casino to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, a Foxwoods lawyer, F. Warren Jacoby, said efforts to obtain financing online casino bonuses raised ‘unanticipated new issues’ that may force Foxwoods to ask the board for permission to build a different type of structure.

“Foxwoods had been considering erecting an ‘interim’ facility, much as the SugarHouse Casino is doing, that would serve as the core of a larger casino.

“By contrast, a temporary structure would be built quickly, then removed to accommodate a permanent casino…”
